Why you so afraid, so afraid of him? Just because he gets under your skin? Why you so afraid? There's no need to fear. What's stopping you from getting out of here? Just do what makes you happy.
2.
I know it ain't no fault of yours I've just got so many things to do today. Just rolled out of bed, barely made it on time. I can't find no relief, we're always so behind. It shouldn't be this hard every single day. Is it ever gonna change? I don't know, I don't know. I know it ain't your fault, it's mine, I just keep staying up too late at night. A moment to rest is all we've got before we get back to our daily grind. It shouldn't be this hard every single day. Always try to make a change, but I never get my way. If I tried to leave this place I don't know where I'd go. Is it ever gonna change? I don't know, I don't know. I don't know if I can take it anymore.

I can’t get away. Surrounded by these steel walls every night. The clock's winding down, not another damn person in sight. You never fucking listen to the things I say even if I try and spell it out your way. I don't care what you want, I won't shed a tear. Lock the door, hit the light and get the hell out of here and we'll float away at the end of the day. I won't keep my head if you send me to the start of the line. I already asked you but you said no to me the first time. I can't understand where your mind must be if you don't have the patience to listen to me. All I want to do is get it right so I can leave and put it all behind me tonight and we'll float away at the end of the day.
4.
I said it once and I'll say it again. There's no need for you to treat me like you do 'cause I know, I know better than you. You're in my face everyday making the same complaints. You don't have guilt or shame for treating me this way but you'd know if you tried to run the line. Maybe we'd see eye to eye. I don't know what to say to you anymore. It just feels like you've heard it all before. I can't believe the things you say. Oh my God, there are eight simple questions that you have to answer before we say goodbye. Is it clear to you because it's all too clear to me. The glass is still the same. You don't even think and it shows but what's it matter to you? You're always on the run, in and out the door. I can't help but wonder if you learned anything at all. It's the same thing every day. It's not that hard, it's not that hard. I don't know what to say to you anymore. It just feels like you've heard it all before. I can't believe the things you say. Oh my God, there are eight simple questions that you have to answer before we say goodbye.

Parallel Man 05:55
Oh, Cornelius Blue, disappeared suddenly in '92. No one knew where he'd gone but one day he came back down, down to earth with us. Why does the helpless man leave everything behind so suddenly? How will we even know? Parallel man, where did you go? Where is Jenny Jive? Couldn't find her anywhere back in '95. So we hung food in the sky and hoped to God that she didn't die. Why does the helpless man leave everything behind so suddenly? How will we even know? Parallel man, where did you go? All alone, side by side, with the woman he loves struck by a cruel twist of fate from above. Even when tragedy is cast on her head her deaf ears can't hear the mute words that he said. Parallel Man: I can not restrain. My instincts will fail until I'm returned again. Worried Widow: I am starved for your touch but you've been gone for months and I can't help it.

I knew I'd find you hiding here behind a red wall laced with fear. You're like a dead man, you lost your way through a shitstorm coming down on your head. You weren't a liar this time last year. This place is eating you alive, the end is drawing near. There ain't nothing that you can do when you don't trust anyone around. You are a recluse when you're in this place. Always run from every problem that stands in your way. You are a free man but you choose to stay in a prison with no shackles, it's your own damn fault I'd say so don't take it out on me. Don't take it out on anybody that never did you wrong. I can't believe you, you're still the same. I already told you, nothings gonna change. You aren't a blind man but you still don't see that everything that lies in front of you is not far out of reach. You're a distraction when you're in this place. You always try to make a point but end up in the way. You are a kind man but you choose to blame everybody but yourself for all of your shortcomings so don't take it out on me. Don't take it out on anybody that never did you wrong. I swear I'm coming, I swear I'm coming back. I'm not a bastard, I swear I'm coming back. I'm not a bastard, I wouldn't do you like that. I'm not a bastard, you can trust me 'cause I'm not a bastard, and don't you forget that I'm not a bastard.
